Baby Gronk Flips Commitment to Ole Miss After Texas A&M, Louisville, Kentucky Pledges
Baby Gronk's list of schools he's "committed" to play for grew further on Sunday when the viral youth football player gave his pledge to Ole Miss.
His commitment to Lane Kiffin and the Rebels came within hours of him giving his pledge to play for Texas A&M. It also marks the third school he's committed to over the course of just one day as he announced he would play for Louisville on Saturday.
Now having added another school to his list, Baby Gronk has committed to Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Minnesota, Pitt, South Carolina, Texas, USC, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee in the month of June alone.
Baby Gronk announced his top 30 schools in early May and has since committed to many of those schools. Given how quickly he flips his commitments, it seems he's trying to get through the entire list by the end of the summer.
Baby Gronk's countless commitments mean very little considering he has yet to receive any offers, per On3's recruiting database. His father, Jake San Miguel, did say that Baby Gronk has "a verbal offer" from Arizona, per The Athletic's Ari Wasserman, though he cannot accept that offer until he's in seventh grade.
Madden San Miguel, or Baby Gronk, has garnered a large social media following over the past few years, but his rise to fame has brought up some questions about whether things have gotten out of hand.
Last summer, Baby Gronk's namesake Rob Gronkowski said that the bit has gone "too far" and "it's awkward." Nevertheless, San Miguel's father has continued to chase viral fame, and committing his son to a new school just about every day has been a part of his attempt to make headlines.
