Jalin Hyatt Says Giants 'Have a Playoff Team' in 2024: 'We're Going to Get There'

Doric SamJun 7, 2024

The New York Giants are coming off a disappointing 2023 season, but that hasn't shaken the confidence of one of the team's young players.

Second-year wide receiver Jalin Hyatt told reporters on Thursday that he believes the Giants have what it takes to reach the playoffs in 2024.

"New year, new opportunities, new goals," Hyatt said. "You know, for me, I always set high expectations. Just looking at our team, looking at what we got, we have a good chance to do whatever we want to do. For goals, I just want as a team goal. We have a playoff team and that's what we want to do and that's our focus. We're going to get there."

The Giants finished with a 6-11 record last season, failing to build on their first year under head coach Brian Daboll in which they surprisingly made the 2022 playoffs and advanced to the NFC Divisional Round.

Hyatt, a third-round pick in the 2023 draft out of Tennessee, had a very forgettable rookie season with 23 catches for 373 yards and no touchdowns despite playing in all 17 games.

The Giants are certainly hoping that the 22-year-old will reach his potential in 2024 to help back up his prediction of the team competing for a playoff spot.
