NBA's Isaiah Thomas Deletes Post Saying an AK-47 Was Pulled on Him by a Child

Phoenix Suns guard Isaiah Thomas deleted posts he originally made Tuesday that detailed an incident in Washington when "a kid pulled a AK47 out on me and the homies."

The two-time All-Star said the situation de-escalated when the kid recognized him from his exploits on the court:

Thomas is a native of Tacoma and starred at the University of Washington for three seasons before moving on to the pros. His roots in the Pacific Northwest have remained strong, and he continues to be a big figure within the Greater Seattle basketball scene.

The 35-year-old made his return to the NBA this season after going unsigned in 2022-23. He suited up for the NBA G League's Salt Lake City Stars in March before earning a shot with the Phoenix Suns.

Thomas logged 19 minutes in the regular season across six games and saw action in Phoenix's Game 1 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.
