Gatorade is turning back the clock a bit as it approaches its 60th birthday in 2025.

The company revealed a new ad campaign under the tagline "It hasn't changed," which is a reference to the legendary "Is it in you?" slogan. The commercial, narrated by Michael Jordan, also revived the Gatorade-colored sweat, which used to be a staple of its promotional efforts.

"As part of the revival of its iconic tagline (and yes, the Gatorade-colored sweat that infiltrated pop-culture in the '90s and early 2000s will also make its comeback) the brand is looking to rally athletes everywhere to remind them it's not about hype, clout, clicks or likes—it's the inner drive that fuels greatness," the company said in a statement. "The launch comes on the heels of new data that indicates athletes are staying out of sport due to increase in pressure from social media, among other factors."

WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and A'ja Wilson, two-time Summer Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum and Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen are all featured prominently in the commercial released Wednesday.

Wilson is the newest member of the Gatorade family, signing an endorsement deal earlier this month. It came on the heels of the Las Vegas Aces forward winning her second title and being named WNBA Finals MVP in 2023.

Gatorade was first developed at the University of Florida's College of Medicine in 1965 in part at the request of Gators football coach Ray Graves. The origin of the drink's name is self-explanatory as it helped the Florida players stay hydrated during the brutal Southeast summers and fall.

Gatorade's longevity is a testament to its enduring legacy and prominence within the sports ecosystem. It remains the go-to beverage for athletes across all levels.
