MJF has been out since losing AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe on Dec. 30 at Worlds End. Post-match, the Devil's Masked Men (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Wardlow) attacked MJF at the orders of the Devil himself, who turned out to be Cole.
Obviously, MJF is out for revenge at this point, and he fired the first salvo upon his return.
MJF then cut a promo after attacking Cole, announcing his presence and letting everyone know that he's woken up after the attack.
But he also showed a new tattoo on his calf, revealing an AEW poker chip and the well-known quote popularized by Kobe Bryant, "Bet on yourself."
"When it comes to MJF in AEW, you can call me the wolf of wrestling," MJF said before staring into the camera. "Because I'm not f--king leaving."
MJF's nod to Wolf of Wall Street got the Las Vegas crowd at MGM Grand Garden Arena rocking.
As for his now adversary, Cole had a good run with MJF, winning the ROH World Tag Team Championship. But now a feud has begun. But now it's clear that the wolf is out for blood.
