Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes Announced for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Fight Card
Most Valuable Promotions announced Saturday that Neeraj Goyat and Whindersson Nunes will clash on the undercard of the upcoming boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
The event, which will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20 and stream live on Netflix, also features a co-main event between women's lightweight champion Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
A cruiserweight bout between Julio César Chávez Jr. and former UFC star Darren Till is also on the card.
Goyat is a 32-year-old veteran from India who boasts a career record of 18-4-2 with eight wins by way of knockout.
Most Valuable Promotions heralded Goyat as the No. 1 boxer from the country of India, as well as the WBC Asia titleholder.
Much like Paul, Goyat is also a crossover star, as he has found success in Bollywood and starred in several movies.
Nunes is a 29-year-old from Brazil who is perhaps best known for his work as a YouTuber, musician and actor. He has 44.6 million YouTube subscribers, making his channel one of the biggest in Brazil.
Additionally, Nunes has appeared in many Brazilian movies and television shows, and he has released several songs under the name Lil Whind.
Nunes' boxing experience is limited compared to Goyat, as he has only one professional bout to his credit.
He made his amateur boxing debut in 2019, beating Mario Silva. Nunes then had three exhibition fights before making his pro debut in October 2023 in a losing effort against YouTuber My Mate Nate.
Given his lack of experience and success in boxing thus far, Nunes figures to be a massive underdog against a fairly accomplished fighter in Goyat.
