Bronny James Rumors: NBA Scouts Say LeBron's Son 'Very Impressive' in Team Meetings

Bronny James might not be soaring up draft boards following his performance at the 2024 NBA Scouting Combine, but he did seem to improve his stock.

The USC guard tested well athletically, shot well in individual drills and played solid team basketball in five-on-five drills, and ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported James was also impressive in team meetings.

"He was very impressive with teams in individual meetings. Teams don't know him very well because he was kept out of the public eye, didn't really talk publicly at all. So, they were trying to guess based on what they heard from other people and what he did on social media. He performed very well in those meetings," Windhorst said Thursday on First Take.

B/R's Jonathan Wasserman does not have James being selected in his latest mock draft and has him outside his top 50 overall prospects.

Name value aside, James is a fringe prospect. He is on the smaller side for a point guard at 6'1" and is most comfortable playing off the ball. Averages of 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists at the major college level aren't doing much to impress either.

While James was considered a potential lottery pick coming out of high school, he's not put together any tape that would create much buzz if he were not LeBron James' son. The overwhelming odds are he would be back at USC preparing for his sophomore season rather than being the most talked-about player in the 2024 NBA draft class.
