Boxing Legend Froch Rips Jake Paul as 'F--king Useless' Ahead of Mike Tyson Fight
Carl Froch isn't impressed by the celebrity boxing trend.
The British boxing legend said he expects Mike Tyson to dominate Jake Paul next month when the pair fight in July.
"I'm not worried about Mike Tyson, Jake Paul cannot fight," Froch told Lord Ping. "None of his knockouts are legitimate. His knockouts were against opponents who didn't know what they were doing. He's f--king useless; his technique, style, balance, offense, defense, the way he sets up his punches—he cannot fight. Mike is going to be absolutely fine."
Tyson, who turns 58 years old in June, will be competing in his first professional boxing match since 2005. The heavyweight legend returned to the ring for an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, but he's seemingly been motivated to recapture his Iron Mike aura in the build to his bout against Paul.
A social media star, Paul joined the boxing world in 2020 and has taken the sport by storm. He's posted a 9-1 career record, with six of his nine wins coming via knockout. However, Paul has spent most of his boxing career fighting against non-boxers, with fellow celebrities and former MMA stars littering his opponent list.
Paul will be fighting at heavyweight for the first time, bulking up to 230 pounds after previously boxing at cruiserweight.
Tyson is one of the most dominant heavyweights in history, posting a 50-6 (2) career record.
