The 2024 NFL rookie class participated Friday night in an official jersey reveal event sponsored by the NFL Players Association and Fanatics in Los Angeles.
Many of the top picks in the 2024 draft were in attendance, including Chicago Bears quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers:
The rookies were also surprised with an unannounced performance by award-winning rapper Quavo.
Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman, who was taken by the Buffalo Bills with the first pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft, was also at the event, and he was the recipient of a special surprise of his own.
Legendary Bills wide receiver and Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Reed surprised Coleman on his 21st birthday, gifting him a chicken wing chain:
Reed was also wearing a yellow puffy coat, which was in reference to Coleman's viral press conference after getting picked by the Bills in which he mentioned that he bought the coat on clearance at Macy's:
Coleman has already shown a great appreciation for Bills history, as Reed divulged that Coleman was the first young receiver to reach out to him "in a while."
The fun continued for the rookies on Saturday, as they got the chance to don their full uniforms and step on the field together:
Williams, Coleman, Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy, Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze and Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette were among the players spotted in attendance.
The rookies have already gotten the opportunity to get acclimated to their teams at rookie minicamp, and the next step will be OTAs in May and June, mandatory minicamp in June and training camp in July.
Then, the preseason slate begins on Aug. 1 with the Hall of Fame Game between the Bears and Houston Texans.
