Lakers Rumors: Bronny James Interviewed at 2024 NBA Draft Combine amid LeBron Buzz
The Los Angeles Lakers reportedly interviewed Bronny James at the NBA Combine in Chicago, per Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times:
"In terms of the draft, the Lakers seem like they'll be the draft floor for Bronny James at pick 55, a player the team conducted an interview with in Chicago, according to sources not authorized to publicly discuss draft strategy," Woike reported.
ESPN's Jamal Collier reported Friday that "the Lakers have shown continued interest in James as the rest of the league becomes aware of what L.A. has been scouting for some time."

The Lakers' interest was expected with Bronny's father, LeBron James, on the roster. James notably has a 2024-25 player option, though, and can become a free agent. One can surmise that James undoubtedly won't be going anywhere if Bronny ends up a Laker.
James unquestionably had a good week at the Combine, with ESPN's Jonathan Givony providing a breakdown:
James also got better as the week went along. He struggled in a Tuesday scrimmage (four points on 2-of-8 shooting, three turnovers) but led his team in scoring Wednesday (13 points).
James said at the Combine that he models his game after three defensive-minded guardsāJrue Holiday, Derrick White and Davion Mitchell.
We'll see where teams stand on James soon enough as draft buzz continues for a month-plus until the draft gets underway on June 26.
