WWE News: The Rock to Start Appearing More Regularly to Hype WrestleMania 28

The Rock and John Cena are set to face off in a couple months at WrestleMania 28 in a match that has been built up since WrestleMania 27.

The Rock returned to the ring to team with Cena at Survivor Series in a match that did not see the two WWE heavyweights mesh well.

Now it looks like we may see more of Rocky between now and WrestleMania than originally expected. TWNP news is reporting the following.

The Rock is scheduled to appear on WWE TV soon. He is expected to start appearing live or on tape almost every week by late February to hype the match with John Cena at WrestleMania 28

With their match only a couple months down the road, WWE is going to start hyping it up soon. It is their most marketed match in history and if Cena does not go into the match as WWE Champion then it could be one of four main events of the evening, pending nothing happens to prevent the Undertaker from having his annual match.

This feud has not been touched on much since Survivor Series, and with Kane being the rock in Cena's shoe, it is unclear as to when Rocky will start making these appearances.

I would expect most of them to be pre-taped, but if WWE is smart then they will not always advertise every time The Rock will be on Raw in person.

It would add more excitement to the feud if The Rock showed up once in a while to foil Cena's plans. If they have learned anything in recent months, it is that suspense and surprise are what WWE fans thrive on.

The return of Jericho, Kane with his mask and the never ending debut of Brodus Clay have all yielded lots of speculation from WWE fans.

The Rock is a great asset, and promoting his live appearances will ensure higher ratings for WWE, but having him show up unannounced will create more buzz.
