Westminster Dog Show 2024 Results: Best of Breed Winners and Final Recap
Sage the miniature poodle has been named Best in Show at the 148th edition of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which took place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York on Tuesday.
Mercedes the German shepherd, a four-year-old from Bethesda, Maryland, took Reserve Best in Show.
Sage is a three-year-old from Houston, Texas, owned by Cathy Gauche and handled by Kaz Hosaka.
This marks the first time since 2002 that a miniature poodle won Best in Show (Surrey Spice Girl). Hosaka also served as handler for that winner.
Hosaka, who was participating in his 45th (and final) Westminster Dog Show, spoke afterward.
Sage bested six other finalists. Here's a look at all of them.
