"I think this whole team kind of ticks everyone off, to be honest. There's some individuals, obviously, that make guys more frustrated, more mad. Maybe it's frustration. You've still got to go out and do the job. We're still down 2-1, trying to make it 2-2."
Bruins center Pavel Zacha also fired a warning shot to Florida in response to the hit, per ESPN's Greg Wyshynski.
"I think we have to really go after their top guys. To let them know it's not OK. To go after our captain, that's not OK with us. We're ready to be physical again today and be a little bit harder on them," Zacha said.
And Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery provided his thoughts.
"I don't think I classified it as dirty. I just think it was outside the lines. I think it was someone that plays the game on the edge and he knew what he was doing…he loaded up," Montgomery told reporters.
On replay, Bennett appeared to hit Marchand in the head with his gloved right hand in the first period. Marchand played through two periods but did not return for the third.
Marchand, who is leading all Bruins in postseason scoring with three goals and seven assists, will miss Game 4 on Sunday with an upper-body injury. He is considered day-to-day.
The Panthers are up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. Puck drop in Boston for Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
