WWE Rumors: CM Punk, The Rock, John Cena and Friday's Top WWE News
Even though the Royal Rumble is the next WWE pay-per-view, there is a lot of information coming out about possible plans for the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 28.
That is actually a good thing, because it means that there is actually some long-term planning going on. And yes, one month in WWE is long-term planning.
We will have all of the latest news, notes and information from the wide world of WWE to kick your weekend off in style.

CM PUNK AND JOHNNY ACE BUILDING TOWARDS...SOMETHING
Of all the reasons that CM Punk hasn't connected with the casual WWE fans, I would be willing to bet that one of the biggest is because he wastes time with John Laurinaitis. So, naturally, it makes sense that WWE wants these two to have a match soon.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why would we pay for that?
Our Take: Aside from seeing Johnny Ace back in his epic wrestling gear, I honestly have no idea. If they want this feud to resemble the Steve Austin-Vince McMahon story, they have to get a better, more entertaining authority figure in there than Laurinaitis.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Matches We Don't Need To See
Maybe I am in the minority, and if I am, let me know, but I hate Laurinaitis in a way that I don't want to see him on television. That is not the kind of heat that you want for someone who is supposed to be a top heel.

WWE STILL DOESN'T KNOW HOW ROCK-CENA MATCH WILL END
While WWE has had the main event for WrestleMania 28 set for one year, they are still unsure of how the way that the match between The Rock and John Cena will end.
Question on Everybody's Mind: How can The Rock lose?
Our Take: You would think that being in Miami and having it be his first singles match in eight years, the decision would be a no-brainer. But in today's WWE, take whatever you think and do the exact opposite thing to figure out things that will happen.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 False Finishes
I am not going to hold WWE hostage for not yet knowing how they are going to end this match, but I do worry that they will do the worst possible thing because we have been fooled before. Two of the last three WrestleMania shows have had terrible finishes, so it is possible to screw this one up.

ZACK RYDER IS GOING TO WRESTLEMANIA TO LOOK LIKE A DORK
While the fans at Raw shows love Zack Ryder, it is hard not to look at him and see a dork. He hits on Eve, she calls him creepy. He almost never wins clean, and thus never gets elevated. Now, WWE is exploring the idea of having him work with the man he built his character around: The Situation.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Do we need another "Jersey Shore" character at WrestleMania?
Our Take: No! Snookie was fine last year because she wasn't really asked to do that much. But The Situation and Zack Ryder adds no buys, and just makes Ryder look like an even bigger goof than he already is.
Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 WrestleMania Celebrities
Perhaps we are at fault for having expectations with Ryder when he started getting featured on television more. He was always booked to be a dork, but when the crowd started reacting to him, there was some hope that he could be something. Sadly, it appears that time has passed.

WWE HAS MIXED FEELINGS ON TNA STARS
WWE fans always love to speculate on stars in other companies who might someday come to Vince McMahon, so the good folks at Pro Wrestling Torch put together a list of wrestlers in TNA that he does and does not have interest in.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Where is Kurt Angle's name on the list?
Our Take: While Angle is still one of the best workers in wrestling today, it would likely take a special kind of deal for him to return to WWE, something like what Shawn Michaels had where he would just show up on television and pay-per-views with no house shows.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Wrestlers Who Won't Show Up In WWE
Despite WWE having some interest in a few TNA wrestlers, I would be surprised if any of them ever did make an appearance with the company. I would never say never, because wrestling is a funny business, but even if they did come back, odds are good they would get buried immediately.
