Edelman: Belichick, Kraft's Tension 'Could Cut F--king Glass' at Tom Brady's Roast
On this week's episode of Games with Names, New England Patriots legends Julian Edelman and Drew Bledsoe provided some behind-the-scenes insight into Sunday's The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady on Netflix.
Beginning at the 7:20 mark of the podcast, Edelman and Bledsoe discussed some of the pre-show happenings, including a gathering in the green room that quickly turned awkward:

Edelman said that he, Bledsoe and some of the other players in attendance were having a conversation with legendary Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, only for Patriots owner Robert Kraft to walk in.
At the 8:35 mark, Bledsoe said Belichick and Kraft ended up having a 10-minute conversation, but Edelman added: "The tension in that room, though, could cut f--king glass."
Over the course of Belichick's 24 years in New England, he, Kraft and Brady enjoyed enormous success together, winning six Super Bowls.
However, Belichick struggled to adapt to life after Brady, earning just one playoff berth in four seasons after Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency.
In 2023, the Pats were one of the worst teams in the NFL with a 4-13 record, prompting New England to go in a different direction by elevating Jerod Mayo to head coach.
While it was called a mutual parting of ways, it is widely assumed that Belichick would still be the Patriots' head coach if Kraft wanted him in that role.
During the roast of Brady, Belichick was on the stage and Kraft was watching from the crowd. After Kraft briefly addressed Brady, host Kevin Hart called for Belichick and Kraft to bury the hatchet by taking a shot together.
Kraft made his way to the stage, toasted with Belichick and made it clear that he felt Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of football.
Hart bragged that he settled a beef bigger than the one between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar, making for one of the best and most memorable moments of the entire roast.
