Rudy Gobert Shades Jazz, Never Been on a Team Like Wolves That Cares About Each Other

The Minnesota Timberwolves are now 5-0 in the postseason after Saturday's 106-99 road win against the Denver Nuggets.

And veteran center Rudy Gobert attributed that to the team's togetherness while indirectly taking a shot at his former teams on the Utah Jazz:

"I love going to battle every night with these guys," he added. "I'm really having a lot of fun."

The Wolves have a bonafide superstar in Anthony Edwards, a fantastic second option in Karl-Anthony Towns, a strong defensive identity behind Gobert and a number of complementary pieces to bring the whole thing together.

The result has been a 56-26 regular season, the No. 3 seed in the West, a first-round sweep of the top-heavy Phoenix Suns and a Game 1 win over the defending champions in the Western Conference Semifinals that flipped home-court advantage back to Minnesota.

Gobert went to the postseason six straight times with the Jazz between the 2016-17 and 2021-22 seasons, but his relationship with costar Donovan Mitchell was famously strained and those teams never got past the second round of the playoffs.

These Timberwolves, however, might just ride the good vibes to the Western Conference Finals and beyond, though beating the Nuggets three more times in six potential tries is no small task.
