B/R AM: Drafting QBs Is Hard

Something you probably already knew: It's basically impossible to project how good QB prospects are going to be.

Yesterday was the deadline for teams to pick up fifth-year options on 2021 first round picks. It was rough for QBs:

• No. 2 pick Zach Wilson: Option declined by Denver
• No. 3 Trey Lance: Option declined by Dallas
  
• No. 11 Justin Fields: Option declined by Pittsburgh 
  
• No. 15: Mac Jones: Option declined by Jacksonville
  

So ... four of five QBs drafted three years ago in the first round are on different teams with unclear futures. Only one option (Trevor Lawrence) got picked up.

And yet, a record six QBs were taken in the first half of the first round of this year's draft.

At least one ... a few ... half ... most(?) ... won't work out long-term.
