Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey Beats Jaylen Waddle in F1 24 Race Ahead of Miami Grand Prix

In a battle of Miami Dolphins teammates, cornerback Jalen Ramsey defeated wide receiver Jaylen Waddle as part of the EA Sports F1 24 Miami Search event on Thursday.

Ahead of the release of the F1 24 video game later this month and the Formula One Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, Ramsey and Waddle played some F1 24 along with F1 star Carlos Sainz Jr. and Bianca Bustamante, who is a driver in the F1 Academy.

In a series of three-lap races on F1 24, Sainz defeated Bustamante, followed by Ramsey narrowly beating Waddle in a race that saw Waddle lead for most of the first two laps.

That was supposed to set up Ramsey vs. Sainz in the finals, but the participants threw a wrench into things, as Sainz opted to serve as Ramsey's coach in a race against Bustamante, who had Waddle in her corner.

The final race was a back-and-forth affair that saw Ramsey and Bustamante trade paint on multiple occasions, but Ramsey managed to push past her on the final lap to secure the victory.

Ramsey, 29, is no stranger to going fast, as he is often tasked with covering some of the NFL's fastest wideouts.

He has excelled in that role, earning seven Pro Bowl selections, three First Team All-Pro nods and a Super Bowl win in eight NFL seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams and Dolphins.

The 25-year-old Waddle is considered one of the speediest players in the game, and he has parlayed that into three consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons to start his NFL career.

Both Ramsey and Waddle will be key figures in the Dolphins' pursuit of a third straight playoff berth in 2024.

As for Bustamante and Sainz, the 19-year-old Bustamante looks like an F1 star in the making, while Sainz is a three-time F1 race winner who figures to be in the mix at the Miami Grand Prix.

Formula One fans will get their chance to compete like real drivers on May 31 when F1 24 is officially released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
