Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported the terms of the deal, noting Nabers got a $18 million signing bonus.

The Giants, who held the No. 6 pick in the NFL draft, went into this offseason sorely needing to upgrade the offense after finishing third-last in the league in scoring.

New York tried to trade up three spots with the New England Patriots for UNC quarterback Drake Maye, per ESPN's Jordan Raanan, but that did not come to fruition.

With this draft containing three elite wideout prospects in Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr., Nabers and Washington's Rome Odunze, taking one of them was an easy move for Big Blue.

Harrison went fourth overall to the Arizona Cardinals, leaving the other two available. The Giants chose the 6'0", 200-pound Nabers, the former LSU star who posted 89 catches for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns en route to earning All-American status in 2023. That followed up a 72/1,017/3 performance the year before.

The B/R NFL Scouting Department was quite high on Nabers, placing him eighth overall on its big board.

"Overall, it's easy to see how Nabers could make an instant impact in the NFL," B/R NFL scout Derrik Klassen wrote.

"His combination of speed, quickness and yards-after-the-catch skills will translate into explosive plays right away. Nabers can be a twitchy, field-stretching Z from day one with the potential to grow into a more well-rounded player."

Nabers could easily be the Giants' top playmaker and most productive offensive player from Day 1, especially with running back Saquon Barkley no longer in town. At the very least, he significantly strengthens the wide receiver room as the Giants look to move past a bitterly disappointing season.
