Warriors' Draymond Green Says Half of 76ers 'Quit' vs. Knicks in NBA Playoff Game 5

Julia StumbaughApr 30, 2024

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was unimpressed by the Philadelphia 76ers' effort early in Tuesday's elimination Game 5 against the New York Knicks.

The 76ers entered Game 5 facing a 3-1 first-round series deficit to the Knicks and need a win on the road to extend their postseason. New York led by seven points at the half.

Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia's starters with 15 points in the first half.

Joel Embiid, who missed a shootaround earlier in the day with a migraine, was held to eight points through two quarters. Kelly Oubre Jr. contributed two, and Kyle Lowry was held off the scoreboard entirely.

The 76ers are looking to rebound from a difficult loss to the Knicks Sunday in Philadelphia, when Jalen Brunson set a New York franchise record with 47 points to put the Sixers on the brink of elimination.

The Warriors may have been eliminated two weeks ago with a play-in loss to the Sacramento Kings, but Green is clearly still following the playoffs anyway, even if he's not impressed by what he's seen so far in the Eastern Conference's first round.
