Video: A.J. Brown Says He Wants to Retire with Eagles After NFL Record $96M Contract
After signing a record-breaking three-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles, star receiver A.J. Brown declared his desire to spend the rest of his career in the City of Brotherly Love.
"I'm so glad to be here. When I hang my cleats up, it's gonna be in that uniform right there," Brown said in a social media video on Tuesday.

Browns Declined Cowboys Trade
Brown and the Eagles agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $96 million with $84 million guaranteed, the largest guarantee received by a wide receiver in NFL history. The $32 million average annual value is also the highest of any NFL receiver.
Brown's deal came after Philadelphia signed fellow receiver DeVonta Smith to a three-year, $75 million extension with $51 million guaranteed earlier this month. Smith's deal runs through 2028 while Brown is now signed through 2029, giving the Eagles one of the best receiving tandems in the league for the foreseeable future.
"We try to be proactive to try to keep this team together," Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said. "That starts with [owner] Jeffrey [Lurie] and his support like we talked about in our pre-draft press conference and just talking about the benefits of trying to keep it together as much as we possibly can. The only way we can possibly do that is by doing deals early. We felt like it was an opportunity to do that here with A.J. ... We felt like the earlier we did that would be better for us and him, and him knowing that he was going to be here."
Brown earned his third Pro Bowl selection last season after recording a career-high 106 catches for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns. He set a record during the season with six straight games of over 125 receiving yards.
If the 26-year-old can sustain that level of production, Eagles fans will surely rejoice at the thought of him ending his impressive career in Philadelphia.
