NBA Fans Criticize Kevin Durant, Suns amid 0-3 Deficit vs. Anthony Edwards, Wolves

Andrew PetersApr 27, 2024

The Minnesota Timberwolves are just one game away from sweeping the Phoenix Suns after taking Game 126-109 on Friday night.

The Timberwolves have dominated the series, winning each of the first three games by double digits. It's also the first time Minnesota has held a 3-0 lead in a series in franchise history.

While the Wolves have been outstanding, the Suns haven't put forth much of a competitive effort. Minnesota has had its way with Phoenix, and now a playoff run could be coming to a close earlier than the Suns would have liked.

After the loss, fand ripped star forward Kevin Durant and the Suns for their poor effort through the first three games.

The Suns are now on the brink of elimination after dropping Game 3. They would need to do what no team has done before and overcome a 3-0 deficit to advance to the second round. That's a nearly impossible challenge, but it starts with Durant along with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal stepping up.

The Timberwolves certainly deserve credit for their performance. They proved they were a top team in the West throughout the regular season and have asserted that point even more through the first round.

Minnesota might not be a Finals contender just yet, but it is just one game away from its first playoff series win since 2004.

The Timberwolves will look to put the Suns away in Game 4 on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
