Donovan Mitchell, Cavs Ripped By NBA Fans for Loss to Paolo Banchero, Magic in Game 3

Jack MurrayApr 25, 2024

The Cleveland Cavaliers had an opportunity to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Orlando Magic Thursday.

To say the Cavaliers failed that mission would be putting it lightly.

Cleveland dropped Game 3 by a score of 121-83, which means that Orlando now faces just a 2-1 series deficit and have an opportunity to tie the series up in Game 4.

Paolo Banchero led all scorers with 31 points while Jalen Suggs had 24 points and Franz Wagner had 16. Banchero also picked up 14 rebounds, and the Magic as a whole won the rebounding battle 51-32.

Jarrett Allen led Cleveland with 15 points and Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley had 13 and 10 points respectively. The Cavaliers committed 14 turnovers and had 16 fouls, which certainly helped Orlando take the massive victory.

Fans took to social media to blast the Cavaliers for the lackluster performance and declare that the series is far from over:

A win could have pretty much secured a trip to the second round barring a collapse. Instead, Cleveland will now need to rebound from the disappointment and try to take the next step towards winning the series.

Cleveland will have two guaranteed games at home to do that, but winning one on the road would be crucial to getting some breathing room.

Game 4 is set to tip-off Satuday at 1 p.m. ET.
