Olu Fashanu Pick Excites Jets Fans as Aaron Rodgers Gets Protection After 2023 Injury
After losing quarterback Aaron Rodgers to injury just moments into the 2023 season, the New York Jets used its first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to address the offensive line.
The New York Jets selected offensive tackle Olu Fashanu with the No. 11 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. This came after the Jets dealt away the No. 10 pick to the Minnesota Vikings.

Fashanu should be an impact player for a Jets line that allowed 64 sacks in 2023.
Fans took to social media to hype up the selection and celebrated the Jets for solidifying the offensive line:
Fashanu has a 6'6", 317-pound frame and played four seasons on the Penn State line. He notably did not surrender a single sack in his collegiate career and was named an All-American during the 2023 season.
He joins 2020 first-round pick Mekhi Becton and the newly signed Tyron Smith on a Jets line that will hopefully have much improved play from previous seasons.
The 2024 season will be one full of hype for New York as the franchise prepares to really see what Rodgers can bring to the table.
