NFL Draft 2024: Latest Odds, Expert Mocks and Predictions for Round 1

Think you know how the 2024 NFL draft will start on Thursday night?

So does everyone else—including the oddsmakers.

USC quarterback Caleb Williams is the overwhelming favorite (-20000) to be selected first overall by the Chicago Bears, per DraftKings Sportsbook.

What will happen after the Williams pick? Well, oddsmakers and analysts have opinions on that, too, and we'll explore their odds and predictions here before running through our own trade-free, first-round mock. Every NFL draft has a pivot point. The No. 3 pick could be exactly that for this year's talent grab.

A recent roundup of expert mocks from CBS Sports' Dave Richard, NFL.com's Charles Davis and ESPN's NFL Nation reporters show the same two picks at the top: Williams to Chicago at No. 1, Daniels to Washington at No. 2.

The first disagreement comes at pick No. 3. ESPN's Mike Reiss mocked Maye to New England in that spot. Richard also had Maye going third, but he sent the signal-caller to Minnesota after a mock trade with New England. Davis, finally, had the Patriots drafting a quarterback, but it was McCarthy instead of Maye, who fell to Minnesota at No. 11.

Richard and the ESPN crew were mostly in lockstep from picks Nos. 4 through 7. Each had Harrison, McCarthy, Nabers and Joe Alt in those spots. The only difference was McCarthy's destination: New England for Richard, Minnesota for ESPN's Kevin Seifert.

Davis agreed on Harrison to Arizona at No. 4 and Nabers to the New York Giants at No. 6, but he went different directions with the others. In his mock, Los Angeles stood pat at No. 5 and drafted Alt, while Tennessee spent the No. 7 pick on J.C. Latham.

Rounding out the top 10, all three experts finished had different takes. For Richard, he had Atlanta taking Alabama edge Dallas Turner, Jacksonville trading up to get Washington receiver Rome Odunze and the Jets taking Latham. ESPN and Davis both had Atlanta taking UCLA edge Laiatu Latu, but ESPN sent Odunze to Chicago at No. 9 and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers to the Jets at 10, while Davis had the Bears taking Turner and the Jets selecting Oregon State offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga.
