Video: NFL Icon Tom Brady's Live Roast Scheduled for Netflix with Kevin Hart as Host

For 23 years, Tom Brady stood in the pocket and kept his composure as 300-pound defensive ends came barreling at him at full speed.

Now we'll get to see if he can withstand the heat of standup comedians.

Kevin Hart will host a roast of the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback May 5, Netflix announced Monday:

The roast will be part of the annual Netflix Is a Joke Festival, which takes place May 1-12 this year in Los Angeles. Netflix originally announced Brady agreed to take part in a roast in 2022. It was slated for a 2023 release but was pushed back as Brady navigated his first year of retirement.

The winningest quarterback in NFL history, Brady retired from the NFL last February after essentially rewriting the league's record book.

There is no word on who will join Hart on the stage to roast Brady, but odds are it will be a star-studded affair.

This will also mark Netflix's first live roast, as previous events had been taped ahead of time and then edited for broadcast.

Netflix has made an increasing effort to push live content in recent years and will make its first foray into weekly live programming next year when it overtakes WWE Raw licensing.
