The unsung hero of WrestleMania weekend, Seth Rollins has not been seen on WWE programming since helping Cody Rhodes defeat Roman Reigns to win the WWE championship.

Becky Lynch, Rollins' wife, recently revealed Rollins underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus he's been dealing with since January.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported Rollins could miss up to eight months but will more likely be out of action for two-to-three months. Meniscus injuries can be tricky because recovery time typically depends on the type of surgery and severity of the injury.

Even if Rollins is out for an extended period, he's certainly earned it. Working through pain—particularly on both nights of WrestleMania—and playing such a pivotal role in the build to one of the greatest events in WWE history deserves all of the plaudits.

Drew McIntyre Reportedly Dealing With Elbow Injury

Speaking of working through injuries, Drew McIntyre is apparently dealing with one of his own on WWE's European tour.

PW Insider reported McIntyre suffered a "badly hyperextended elbow" and has been dealing with the injury while still performing overseas.

The fact McIntyre hasn't missed any time in the ring would bode well for this not being a particularly serious issue. It also should be a sign he's still willing to go above and beyond for WWE despite his contract expiring soon.

Most expect McIntyre to ink a long-term deal to remain in WWE, but the price is only going to keep rising as he continues to go out there hurt.

WWE Releases Reportedly Due to Multiple Reasons

Fightful Select reported the releases of Jinder Mahal, Veer, Sanga, Xia Li and Xyon Quinn were due to multiple reasons, among them being budget cuts.

WWE sources also noted that none of the performers being cut were being regularly used on television and had all been with the company for an extended period. A lack of upward trajectory was also cited.

Mahal is by far the most notable name among those released, having held the WWE championship. His reign is now pushing seven years old, however, and WWE hasn't done much with him since creatively.

Indus Sher, the stable featuring Mahal, Veer and Sanga, was seemingly the last chance for all three to make a name in WWE.
