In a Saturday playoff duel between Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant, it was the Minnesota Timberwolves star who came out on top.
Edwards racked up 33 points to lead the Timberwolves to a 120-95 victory over Durant and the Phoenix Suns at Target Center.
Durant paced the Suns with 31 points as the Wolves claimed a 1-0 lead in the first-round series.

Edwards appeared to chirp Durant as the Timberwolves took over the game in the third quarter.
Edwards shot 58 percent from the field, including 4-of-8 from deep, in the victory. He added nine rebounds, six assists and two steals.
Rudy Gobert led the Wolves with 16 rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 19 points in the victory.
All eyes were on Edwards as fans began predicting big things for the 22-year-old Minnesota star.
Durant, meanwhile, recorded at least 30 points in a playoff game for the 75th time in his career.
Watching Durant make history while Edwards dominated at both ends of the court made Game 1 engaging for fans despite the final score.
Edwards and Durant will meet again for a Monday rematch when Game 2 between the Suns and Wolves tips off at 7:30 p.m.
