Rutgers senior center Clifford Omoruyi has entered the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility, and he reportedly has a lengthy list of schools that he's considering.

Omoruyi told Joe Tipton of On3.com that UNC, UCLA, Baylor and Alabama are among the 12 schools in contention for his services:

Omoruyi is the No. 8 player and No. 3 center in On3.com's transfer portal rankings. As a recruit, he was a 4-star prospect and the No. 12 center in the class of 2020, per 247Sports' composite.

The 6'11", 240-pound big man started every game for the Scarlet Knights in each of the last three seasons. He helped lead Rutgers to two NCAA Tournament appearances, with the 2021 tournament marking the program's first appearance in 30 years.

After producing career highs of 13.2 points and 9.6 rebounds during his junior year, Omoruyi's numbers dipped slightly in the 2023-24 campaign with 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. However, he improved on defense and averaged a career-best 2.9 blocks, which ranked third in the nation.

247Sports director of scouting Adam Finkelstein describes Omoruyi as "a physically dominant big man who stands just shy of [seven feet] with long arms and a chiseled frame."

Finkelstein's scouting report continued: "Omoruyi's best attribute is his ability to protect the rim. ... He balances his shot-blocking with an ability to clean the glass, as he has finished inside the top five players in the country in defensive rebounding rate (in league play) in each of the last two years as well."

Whichever school that lands Omoruyi will be getting an experienced rim protector who will be motivated to end his college career on a high note.
