Schrager 2024 NFL Mock Draft: Odunze Over Nabers to Cardinals; Cowboys Take Worthy
We're less than two weeks away from the 2024 NFL draft, and experts still can't seem to decide on the order of wide receivers.
Peter Schrager of NFL Network released his mock draft Tuesday, with Marvin Harrison Jr. coming off the board first among receivers at No. 5 to the Los Angeles Chargers. The surprises start with the very next pick, as Rome Odunze gets taken by the Arizona Cardinals (via trade with the New York Giants) over Malik Nabers.
Many analysts and evaluators have settled on Harrison and Nabers as the 1A and 1B receivers in this class. If anything, Nabers has gotten increased hype to potentially overtake Harrison as the first wideout selected.
The B/R Scouting Department agrees with Schrager's evaluation of taking Odunze over Nabers, with the Washington product coming in at No. 6 and Nabers being ranked No. 8 overall.
In Schrager's scenario, Nabers drops all the way to No. 9, where the Indianapolis Colts move up to take the LSU product. Nabers' college teammate Brian Thomas Jr. is the next receiver taken at No. 20 by the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Dallas Cowboys roll the dice with Texas speedster Xavier Worthy at No. 24.
Texas' Adonai Mitchell (Buffalo Bills, No. 28) and Washington's Ja'Lynn Polk (Kansas City Chiefs, No. 32) round out the first round at receiver.
