The Masters wasn't short on drama midway through the fourth round for Scheffler, Åberg, Max Homa and Collin Morikawa, all of whom were tied at six under.

However, the latter three made crucial mistakes down the stretch, each making double bogey at least once (and Morikawa twice).

That opened the door for Scheffler to walk in and pick out a second green jacket, and he did so in style by shooting five under during the final 11 holes.

Birdies on Nos. 8-10 vaulted him into the lead.

A bogey on No. 11 temporarily set him back, but he still held a three-shot edge on the field at the time with his competitors struggling.

Scheffler then added to the cushion late with birdies on Nos. 13, 14 and 16 to put this one away.

Morikawa, Homa and Tommy Fleetwood each finished at four under to round out the top five.

Scheffler is now a two-time champion after his three-shot victory in 2022 thanks to a 10-under result that year.

Per ESPN's Mark Schlabach, Scheffler is the fourth-youngest golfer to win at least two Masters tournaments. He's also the fifth golfer ever to win two Masters by three or more strokes.

The World's No. 1 golfer began this tournament as the clear favorite, and that sentiment held true after his tremendous performance. The tee-to-green king is simply a machine, and fans and analysts alike admired his dominance.

Scheffler's victory marked his third win in four tournaments after he also took the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship in back-to-back weeks. He finished second by one stroke to Stephan Jaeger at the Texas Children's Houston Open two weeks ago before taking care of business at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday.
