Raiders' Davante Adams Not Eyeing Trade: 'If I Wanted to Be Gone, I'd Be Gone By Now'

While there has been speculation about whether Davante Adams wants to stay with the Los Vegas Raiders, he made his intentions clear Sunday.

As the wide receiver hosted a youth football camp in Las Vegas, he said he has no interest in a trade, per The Athletic's Tashan Reed.

"If I wanted to be gone, I'd be gone by now," Adams said. "This is where I want to be."

Adams signed a five-year, $140 million extension with the Raiders in 2022, but with uncertainty at quarterback, there has been speculation he could request a trade to play with a more stable passer.

In his second year with the Raiders in 2023, Adams notched 1,144 receiving yards and eight touchdowns—both his lowest marks since the 2019 season when he played just 12 games.

The dip in his stats last season could be attributed to inconsistency at quarterback. The Raiders began the year with Jimmy Garoppolo under center but transitioned to rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who had a solid year with 2,218 passing yards and 12 touchdowns in 11 games.

The Raiders still don't have a clear answer at quarterback heading into next season. They brought in veteran Gardner Minshew over the offseason and still have O'Connell, but they might be looking to find a quarterback in the draft with the 13th pick.

Whichever direction Las Vegas decides to go, it seems Adams is trusting the team to find him a reliable quarterback.
