As if the vibes for the Philadelphia 76ers weren't good enough since Joel Embiid returned, they brought in Allen Iverson ahead of Friday's key game against the Orlando Magic to unveil his new statue.

The Sixers icon was given the honor of unveiling the crossover statue at the team's practice facility.

After the unveiling, an emotional Iverson thanked everyone who "played a part in my development and my life" to help him receive the honor.

The 76ers announced on March 1 that Iverson would be honored with a sculpture unveiling ceremony on the Legends Walk ahead of their April 12 matchup against the Orlando Magic.

Iverson is the 10th player in Sixers history to have a statue on the Legends Walk. Charles Barkley, Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, Billy Cunningham, Hal Greer, Bobby Jones and Dolph Schayes are the others.

Iverson played a total of 12 seasons, including each of his first 11, with the 76ers. He ranks second in franchise history in career points (19,931), third in points per game (27.6). The Answer is one of five Sixers players to win NBA MVP, along with Chamberlain, Erving, Malone and Embiid.

The 76ers' last appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals was during Iverson's MVP season in 2000-01. They advanced to the NBA Finals before losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games.

Philadelphia has won six straight games, with the last five coming since Embiid returned from a knee injury. The winning streak has moved the Sixers up to the seventh in the Eastern Conference, one game behind the Magic and Indiana Pacers.
