Tom Brady Jokes About Unretiring, Growing Hair Back Out for 50K Likes on Social Media

Andrew PetersApr 11, 2024

It's been a while since Tom Brady had long, flowing hair, but the legendary quarterback could be rocking a new hairdo soon.

After the New England Patriots posted a picture of a young Brady on social media Thursday, he made a deal that if his post got 50,000 likes, he'd grow his hair back out. He also joked about coming out of retirement.

Brady might have been joking about coming out of retirement if his post gets to 50,000 likes, but we could see the seven-time Super Bowl champion bring back the long hair he had in his early days. It could be a good look for him as he begins his broadcast career this fall with Fox Sports.

While he joked about coming out of retirement, there might have been some truth behind it. Making an appearance on the Deep Cut podcast Tuesday, Brady said if a team dealing with injuries needed him late in the season he would give it some thought.

"I'm not opposed to it," he said (h/t ESPN's Mike Reiss). "I don't know if they are going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. I'm always going to be in good shape. I'll always be able to throw the ball. So, to come in for a little bit, like MJ [Michael Jordan] coming back, I don't know if they would let me. But I wouldn't be opposed to it."

Time will tell if Brady, 44, will be back on an NFL field anytime soon, but he'll keep fans entertained from the broadcast booth for now.
