Willow vs. Mercedes Moné Set for AEW Double or Nothing After Winning Hart's TBS Title

Willow Nightingale beat Julia Hart at AEW Dynasty on Sunday night to win the TBS Championship.

Nightingale hit Hart with her sit-out powerbomb to claim her first title in AEW.

Mercedes Moné did not get involved in the match, which was somewhat surprising since she saved Willow from an attack at the hands of Hart and Skye Blue on the night she debuted for AEW. However, she showed up after the match to confront Nightingale and officially declare herself the challenger for her title at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view on May 26.

The Big Business episode of Dynamite in March, which was headlined by Mercedes' debut, saw Nightingale do battle with former AEW women's world champion Riho in the main event.

Nightingale won the match, but Hart and Blue launched an attack against her in an apparent effort to get some revenge for what happened in previous weeks.

Willow had beaten Blue in a singles match on a February episode of Dynamite, plus she teamed up with Kris Statlander to defeat Hart and Blue in a tag team match at Revolution on March 3.

While Mercedes foiled the attempt by Hart and Blue to put a hurting on Nightingale, the rivalry was far from over.

Willow ensured her title match against Hart at Dynasty on the March 27 episode of Dynamite when she beat Statlander, Blue and Anna Jay in a four-way match to become No. 1 contender for the TBS Championship.

Another wrinkle was added to the feud in the weeks that followed, as Nightingale came to the aid of Adam Copeland when Hart's House of Black stablemate, Brody King, attacked him following a match between Copeland and Penta El Zero Miedo.

That set up a tag team match pitting Willow and Copeland against Hart and King, and it added even more heat to the conflict.

Nightingale has gained a ton of momentum in recent weeks as a beloved babyface who picked up some key victories, and she kept it going at Dynasty with the first title win of her AEW career.
