Jade Cargill Shines
3 of 4In her first appearance as a SmackDown Superstar, Jade Cargill exploded onto the scene, wiping out Damage CTRL and announcing to the world that there is a new dominant force ready to take over the women's division.
At WrestleMania, the former AEW star will have her first shot at making a statement on the grandest stage that there is to perform on in professional wrestling when she teams with Bianca Belair and Naomi to battle Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane.
It is a six-woman tag team match that not only gets those competitors on the card but serves as a spotlight moment for a young star for whom WWE has great plans.
Surrounded by some of the most talented and dynamic performers, she will have every opportunity to learn and shine. By the time the referee slaps the mat three times, it will be Cargill who emerges from the match as the most memorable star of the match and the clear future of women's wrestling in WWE.
The Rock's Return to the Grand Stage
4 of 4The Rock has not appeared on the grandest stage in professional wrestling since WrestleMania 32 in 2016, when he interrupted the Wyatt Family and "defeated" Erick Rowan in a historically fast, impromptu match.
The Final Boss returns to the grand stage here in 2024 meaner, more vindictive, and more dangerous than ever as he teams with undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns to battle Cody Rhodes and Seth "Freakin" Rollins in the main event of Saturday's card.
The match has high stakes, not just for the story at play, but for The Rock himself.
The last time he wrestled a long match, the 2013 showdown with John Cena at WrestleMania 29, he suffered a torn abdominal. He also looked as though he was carrying too much muscle mass and moving slower than he had just a year ago.
For someone who visibly looked to be in the shape of his life, it was the first time in which it appeared as though Rock was no longer able to hang with the stars of today.
Saturday night, he has a chance to erase those images with a performance that announces to the world that, even at 51 years old, no one electrifies audiences as he does.
He will be surrounded with the talent to make it happen in the form of three of the best, most elite competitors in professional wrestling. If he can show up and show out with them, there is plenty of reason for fans to want, and expect, him back in the ring in a singles setting at some point in the future.
Perhaps in that much-anticipated showdown with Reigns.
