Video: The Rock Trolls Jalen Hurts, Eagles at WWE World Ahead of WrestleMania 40

The Rock opened up a wound caused by the residual pain of the Philadelphia Eagles' disastrous 2023 season by telling fans at WWE World in Philly that he arrived two hours late because he was watching YouTube highlights of Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again.

Hurts and the Eagles fell 32-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card round last January. Philadelphia has made the playoffs in all three seasons of the Hurts era, and the former Alabama and Oklahoma star has done very well overall as the Eagles star quarterback, earning a pair of Pro Bowl honors and finishing as the NFL MVP runner-up in 2022.

The team has heartbreakingly fallen short in the playoffs, though, losing to the Bucs in the wild card in 2021 and 2023 with a Super Bowl defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs sandwiched in-between.

Naturally, The Rock knew to poke that bear when the heel arrived on-scene in Philadelphia.

The end of the 2023 season was particularly brutal, with the Eagles going 1-5 in their last six regular-season games before falling to the Bucs.

The Rock is either a huge Bucs fan or the world's biggest Philadelphia hater, because the highlights (or lowlights, if you like the Eagles) of that game only run 13 minutes long on YouTube.

Perhaps he was really excited to see the Eagles score a net of negative-two points on their final seven drives combined (one of them ended with a safety) and decided to play the video on repeat before facing a viscerally angry crowd at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, where WrestleMania XL will take place on Saturday and Sunday.

The Rock will highlight Saturday's events, as he'll team with Roman Reigns to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. He'll assuredly be making an appearance again Sunday, capped by Reigns defending his Undisputed Universal heavyweight title against Rhodes.
