Texans' Joe Mixon Says Stefon Diggs Asked About Trade from Bills 'a Few Weeks Ago'

Timothy RappApr 3, 2024

Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs are now teammates on the Houston Texans after the team pulled off a surprising trade with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday.

And the star running back suggested on social media that Diggs had already inquired about a potential trade to Houston:

Houston should have a nasty offense in 2024.

Defending Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback C.J. Stroud will now be handing off to Mixon (1,034 rushing yards, 12 total touchdowns last season) and throwing passes to Diggs (107 catches for 1,183 yards and eight scores in 2023), Nico Collins (80 catches for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns), Tank Dell (709 receiving yards and seven scores in just 11 games) and tight end Dalton Schultz (59 catches for 635 yards and five touchdowns).

At least on paper, that looks like one of the most dangerous attacks in football. And it sounds like Houston was potentially Diggs' preferred landing spot all along.
