Video: Iowa's Caitlin Clark, LSU's Angel Reese Hug After WCBB Title Game Rematch

For all the talk of revenge and rivalries, there was nothing but love between Iowa's Caitlin Clark and LSU's Angel Reese after they squared off in Monday's Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA women's tournament.

Clark and Reese shared a hug after Iowa's 94-87 win:

While Reese and the Tigers won the national title last year with a victory over Iowa, they had no answer for the incredible Clark in Monday's rematch. She stuffed the stat sheet with 41 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds, two steals and one block while connecting on nine three-pointers.

The game was tied at halftime, but the Iowa star took over in the third quarter with four deep three-pointers to create separation her team never relinquished.

That the two shared a moment after the game comes as no surprise, as they have seemingly always supported each other. Even after Reese taunted Clark by pointing at her ring finger and doing the "you can't see me" gesture last year, the Hawkeyes guard offered her support:

And then Reese returned the favor and offered support after Clark broke the NCAA Division I women's basketball scoring record this season:

Ultimately, it is Clark and the Hawkeyes who will continue dancing after Monday's effort, but any rivalry between the two stars doesn't seem to extend outside the court.
