Astros' Ronel Blanco Throws No-Hitter vs. Blue Jays, Stuns Fans in 8th MLB Start
In just his eighth MLB start, Houston Astros pitcher Ronel Blanco threw the 17th no-hitter in franchise history and the first of the 2024 season.
The 30-year-old didn't make his debut until two years ago, and he was only in the Astros' rotation due to injuries to Houston's starting pitchers. That didn't stop him from delivering a stunning performance against the Toronto Blue Jays, though.
He had seven strikeouts and just two walks in the 10-0 win.

10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️
After Blanco's no-hitter Monday, fans praised him for a miraculous performance.
Despite Blanco's lack of MLB experience, his no-hitter might have earned him a spot in the rotation. The win also gave the Astros their first of the season after the team was swept by the New York Yankees over the weekend.
With the momentum of a no-hitter on their side, the Astros are looking for a big series early on in the year against the Blue Jays.
