The 2023 World Series teams were much further down the list, with the reigning champion Texas Rangers coming in at +1500 and the Arizona Diamondbacks well below that at +4000.

The Dodgers made monumental moves this winter and built the closest thing to a modern superteam. Los Angeles signed two-time American League MVP Shohei Ohtani to a historic 10-year, $700 million contract, adding him to a lineup that already includes former MVPs Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.

The Dodgers also signed coveted Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto and acquired starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow from the Tampa Bay Rays, shoring up the rotation while veteran ace Clayton Kershaw recovers from shoulder surgery.

Los Angeles has been one of the best teams in the majors for quite some time, but it hasn't achieved postseason success in recent years since winning the 2020 World Series. Despite winning over 100 games in each of the last two seasons, the Dodgers didn't make it past the NLDS in either year.

Only time will tell if the Dodgers can live up to their status as the World Series favorites this time around.
