T.J. Watt 'Excited' for Russell Wilson, Justin Fields to Help Steelers in Playoffs
All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt is looking forward to making a playoff push with newly-acquired Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields next season.
"I'm excited for both of them," Watt told reporters Saturday, per PJ Green of FOX4 News Kansas City. "To be able to have some big-time new faces, some guys who have played at a high level, especially Russ, a guy who's won a Super Bowl, in the locker room, I'm just hoping that I can learn something from those guys, and show them how things are done in Pittsburgh as well."

Through seven seasons in Pittsburgh since his first-round selection in 2017, Watt has started in three playoff games, all losses, for the Steelers.
"I haven't won a playoff game since my whole career there, so I'm open to any type of information, where we can continue to get better, and hopefully those guys can help us do that," Watt said.
The veteran linebacker is now hoping the addition of Wilson, who won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, will help the Steelers to their first playoff victory since 2017.
"It's a very tough, competitive league," Watt said. "There's so much parity, even in our division, and you look at all the quarterbacks. I'm just glad we that we have one.
"It's all about staying healthy, and being on the rise, and that's something we have to do this year."
Watt was one of the Steelers players who reached out to Wilson and spoke to the veteran quarterback prior to his decision to join the Steelers in free agency, according to Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now.
The six-time Pro Bowl linebacker earned his fourth career All-Pro selection in 2023 while leading the NFL with 19.0 sacks.
