Photo: Texans Tease New Uniforms for 2024 NFL Season; Full Unveiling Set for April

The Houston Texans teased a photo of their new uniforms for the 2024 season on Monday.

Texans owner Cal McNair shared a photo of wide receivers Tank Dell and Nico Collins sporting the franchise's new uniforms on Reddit, and the team confirmed the legitimacy of the photo by re-sharing it on social media:

McNair added that there is "way more to come in April," hinting that the team will officially unveil the new uniforms this spring.

The uniforms displayed in the photo from McNair show blue pants and white jerseys.

The jerseys say "Houston" across the chest and the lettering and numbers are blue with a red outline. The shoulders also appear to display blue horns.

The Texans' current uniforms are similar, with white jerseys and blue pants. However, the jerseys say "Texans" across the chest in blue, and the numbers are red with a blue outline.

Houston's home game uniforms were not teased.

The Texans will wear four uniforms next season, according to Drew Dougherty of the team's website. "H-Town Blue" will also be incorporated into some of the uniforms as an ode to the then-Houston Oilers, per Dougherty.

Doug Vosik, Houston's head of marketing and communications, told the Houston Chronicle's Matt Young of the team's new uniforms in January, per Paul Lukas of UniWatch:

"We said, 'OK, if you want timeless traditional, here's the one uniform that answers that.' If you want to take it one step further and say timeless traditional gets refreshed, we have one for that. If you said, 'Hey, I'm into this bull thing, let's get wild,' we have one for that. And if someone said, 'Hey, I want you to pay homage to H-Town Blue,' and if the players are saying, 'I want something tough, I want something mean,' we've got something for that."

Houston is coming off its most successful season since 2019, winning the AFC South with a 10-7 record and reaching the divisional round of the playoffs behind excellent play from rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The new uniforms will be nice, but fans will be hoping Stroud. and Co can follow up the 2023 season with an even better 2024.
