MMQB: Rams 'a Logical Landing Spot for Jets QB Zach Wilson' Even with Jimmy Garoppolo
New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson could experience a trade in the offseason, which may include the Los Angeles Rams as a future destination.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer listed the Rams as an "ideal" team for Wilson to join on Monday.
"The Rams have been a logical landing spot for Jets QB Zach Wilson," Breer wrote. "I'd say maybe even more so now with Jimmy Garoppolo signed in Los Angeles. Wilson could use a reset, and to sit for a year, so going somewhere he'd be third string, would afford him such much-needed time."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
New York gave Wilson's agent permission to speak with other teams regarding a potential trade on Feb. 28.
The former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 draft hasn't lived up to expectations, recording just 6,293 yards and 23 touchdowns compared to 25 interceptions in 33 career starts. Wilson was originally set to begin the 2023 season as a backup behind Aaron Rodgers, although a Week 1 Achilles injury to the four-time MVP put the 24-year-old back into action.
With Matthew Stafford entrenched as the starter in Los Angeles combined with Garoppolo's one-year deal with the team, Wilson would have an opportunity to take a step back and learn from a Super Bowl-winning quarterback such as Stafford.
Breer also noted that Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur would be "very open to a reunion" with the former BYU standout after he served as the offensive coordinator for the Jets in 2021 and 2022.
