CBI 2024: Tournament Bracket, Schedule, Format and Men's Teams to Watch
The 2024 College Basketball Invitational brings together 15 mid-major teams for a four-day event in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The High Point Panthers out of the Big South earned the No. 1 seed in Sunday's bracket reveal. They only have to win three games inside the Ocean Center to capture the tournament title.
The rest of the field needs to win four games in four days to leave with a trophy.
Being the No. 1 seed does not guarantee success in any tournament, as High Point and a few other CBI squads learned in their respective conference tournaments.
Three regular-season conference champions are part of the field that is made up of teams from 11 conferences. The Big South, Big Sky and MAAC have multiple CBI participants.

High Point
2 of 3
High Point was the class of the Big South in the regular season, but it stumbled in the semifinals of the Big South tournament on its home court.
The Panthers went 13-3 to earn the Big South's top seed, but a semifinal loss to eventual tournament winner Longwood took it out of NCAA tournament contention.
The No. 1 seed in the CBI has a fascinating one-two punch in Kezza Giffa and Duke Miles.
Gizza and Miles both average over 15 points per game. High Point has four players averaging over 12.5 points per contest.
Both players shoot over 80 percent from the free-throw line, over 33 percent from three-point range and above 40 percent from the field. Miles leads the team with a 53.7 field-goal percentage.
High Point owns the advantage of only having to win three games in three days to take home the CBI crown. It should be more than aware of the upset threat any team possesses because of its own Big South tournament experience.
The Panthers have the offensive firepower to outscore anyone and they should be viewed as one of the favorites to win it all in Daytona Beach.
Little Rock
3 of 3
Do not let the No. 10 seed tag next to the Little Rock Trojans fool you about how deep they can go in the CBI.
Little Rock lost a single game after February 3 and it ranks in the top 75 on KenPom in both two-point and three-point defense.
The Trojans out of the Ohio Valley Conference also rank 73rd in two-point offense and 70th in free-throw shooting.
Few teams in the CBI field are as balanced as the No. 1 seed in the OVC tournament.
Little Rock held 11 of its last 12 opponents under 70 points. Its defense even held the Morehead State Eagles to 69 points in the OVC tournament title game.
The Trojans can win the CBI, or at least win a few games in the tournament, because of its tough defense that no one wants to face at this stage of the season.
