Falcons' Kirk Cousins Offers to Write Kyle Pitts a Check to Charity for No. 8 Jersey

Both Kirk Cousins and Kyle Pitts have worn the No. 8 during their NFL careers, and the fate of the number remains up in the air after the veteran quarterback officially signed with the Atlanta Falcons this week.

Cousins told reporters Wednesday that he offered to write Pitts a check to the charity of his choice in exchange for the number, to which Pitts joked, "I just want targets every game."

Hard to blame Pitts for the targets request after the Arthur Smith era.

As for Cousins, he can afford to cut Pitts' charity of choice a pretty significant check after signing a massive four-year, $180 million deal with the Falcons. When it comes to the business side of football, Cousins—who will reach $411 million in career earnings if he sees out his Falcons contract, all despite winning just one playoff game in 12 seasons—is an absolute legend.
