Clippers' Kawhi Leonard Out vs. Kings with Knee Injury Ahead of 2024 NBA Playoffs
Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will miss Tuesday's game against the Sacramento Kings due to knee soreness.
Leonard played 37 minutes in Sunday's win over the Charlotte Hornets. He had 23 points and five rebounds. This is likely a maintenance issue rather than a new injury with the Clippers preparing for the playoffs.
Injuries have been par for the course for Leonard in recent seasons. He did not play more than 57 games in a season in a Clippers uniform before this season, which has been his healthiest since 2016-17.
The future Hall of Famer has averaged 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 52.5 percent over his first 68 games.
Leonard's continued availability, along with the presences of Paul George and James Harden, has the Clippers sitting at 47-27 and fourth place in the Western Conference.
