NFL Trade Rumors: Chargers Shop Keenan Allen, Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Mike Williams

The Los Angeles Chargers have engaged with other teams in trade discussions regarding Keenan Allen, Khalil Mack, Mike Williams, and Joey Bosa, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.

Breer noted that trade talks have primarily occurred "over the past week," with all four players having cap numbers higher than $30 million in 2024. In order to shed some salary and receive more draft capital, the Chargers could trade players that have been consistent starters for the team throughout the past few years.

Bosa and Mack are expected to have several potential suitors, as Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported on Saturday that "there are teams interested" in the two pass-rushers although opposing front offices may wait and see if Los Angeles cuts them first.

Mack likely has the highest trade value out of all four players, as he showed no signs of rust in 2023 despite being 33 years old. He racked up 17.0 sacks and five forced fumbles, starting in 17 games for Los Angeles.

Bosa has spent all eight years of his career with the organization, winning Defensive Rookie of the Year back in 2016. Injuries have slowed him down recently, as he's appeared in just 14 total regular-season games over the past two seasons due to separate foot and groin injuries.

Williams has also struggled to stay on the field, as a torn ACL limited him to just three appearances in 2023. He seemed to be on the verge of a breakout season, recording 249 receiving yards before he went down.

Breer revealed on Sunday that Allen "appears to be least likely to be moved," although it's still a possibility. The six-time Pro Bowl wideout has remained effective as he's entered his 30s, recording 4,125 yards over the past four years while developing chemistry with quarterback Justin Herbert.

With the Chargers currently $21.1 million over the 2024 salary cap, new general manager Joe Hortiz will have some tough decisions to make.
