Duke's Kyle Filipowski Appears to Trip UNC's Harrison Ingram on Video in CBB Rivalry
Duke big man Kyle Filipowski appeared to trip UNC forward Harrison Ingram during his team's 84-79 loss Saturday at the Blue Devils' home of Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The incident occurred with roughly six minutes left in the first half, after Duke's Jared McCain grabbed a defensive rebound off an Ingram missed jumper. Ingram and Filipowski got tied up and fell to the ground. Ingram got up first and started running back on defense.
He tried to run past Filipowski, who was turned in the opposite direction. Filipowski then lifted up his right leg, and Ingram slowly stumbled to the ground before getting back up. Filipowski then slowly got to his feet, and play continued. No foul was called.

Filipowski denied tripping Ingram afterward.
"I'm not really too sure how that whole situation happened, to be honest," Filipowski said, per the Associated Press. "I was really just getting up. My foot slipped. I don't know how I caught him. That's really all I've got."
Ingram felt otherwise, as did head coach Hubert Davis, who wanted officials to check the replay:
Filipowski, who entered the game averaging 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds, was notably injured (right knee) in a court-storming incident when his Blue Devils fell 83-79 to host Wake Forest. He did not miss any time and returned to the lineup four days later versus Louisville.
As for the game, the heated rivals entered this one atop the ACC standings. In the end, the No. 7 Tar Heels finish the regular season first at 17-3, while the No. 9 Blue Devils are second with a 15-5 mark.
