Bucks' Patrick Beverley Jokes About 'Cardio' Game vs. Lakers After Recording No Stats

Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley joked about his quiet night after the team's 123-122 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

In a post on X, Beverley mentioned that he was getting in some "cardio" after failing to record a notable stat.

In 16 minutes on the floor, the 35-year-old recorded 0 points, 0 assists, 0 rebounds, 0 steals, and 0 blocks while missing all three of his shot attempts.

While the defensive-minded guard hasn't historically stuffed the stat sheet on a nightly basis, it was still surprising to see his lack of an impact against Los Angeles. Beverley was previously a member of the Lakers, suiting up in 45 games for the team during the 2022-23 season.

He initially started his 2023-24 campaign with the Philadelphia 76ers, although he was traded to Milwaukee on Feb. 8 in exchange for Cameron Payne and a second-round pick in 2027.

Although Beverley was brought in to help shore up the Bucks' perimeter defense, his improved long-range shooting compared to the first half of the season has been a welcome surprise. He's hitting 36.4 percent of his triples in 12 games with Milwaukee, although he's shooting just 36.5 percent from the field.

Beverley has also averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds each night as a member of the Bucks, while the team has a record of 8-4 in the games he's suited up in. He'll be looking to get on the board and snap Milwaukee's brief two-game skid in the team's next contest, a matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
